Today's Thought(s):
"The heart of God is mercy. No sin is so great or so terrible that it can't be forgiven by God (provided one seeks Jesus' mercy and asks to be forgiven)."

Gain at least partial indulgences now to remove temporal punishment you have incurred or to remove temporal punishment incurred by the faithful who are now suffering in purgatory! Scroll down to learn how!
Conditions for Gaining Indulgences:
To be capable of gaining indulgences a person must be baptized, not excommunicated, and in the state of grace at least at the time the prescribed works are completed.
Definition of Indulgence:
"An indulgence is a remission before God of the temporal punishment due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven, which the faithful Christian who is duly disposed gains under certain prescribed conditions through the action of the Church, which, as the minister of redemption, dispenses and applies with authority the treasury of the satisfaction of Christ and the saints.
An indulgence is partial or plenary according (to the extent)as it removes either part or all of the temporal punishment due to sin. Indulgences may be applied to the living (you) or the dead."
Catechism of the Catholic Church, Paragraph 1471
Prayers YOU Can Say Now to Gain a Partial Indulgence. Several Partial Indulgences may be gained each day by the faithful (see prayers below).
However, you must first do the following before reciting each prayer:
1. Claim the indulgence (Have the general intention of doing so): Pray, "Oh Blessed Mother, I claim the indulgences attached to the work I'm about to perform. I want them applied to (either) my soul or the following deceased souls (list the souls)."
2. Be Contrite. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, in Jesus' name, to make a good examination of conscience, then ask forgiveness and be sorry for your sins.
3. Devoutly recite the prayer of your choice or perform the work during the time stipulated.

Some Prayers You Can Recite Now to Gain a Partial Indulgence (You may gain several partial indulgences each day):
Prayer for the Household
Hear us, Lord, and send your angel from heaven to visit and protect, to comfort and defend all who live in this house. Amen.
Prayer of Thanksgiving
We give you thanks for all your gifts, almighty God, living and reigning now and forever.
Amen.
Prayer to St. Joseph
Blessed Joseph, husband of Mary, be with us this day. You protected and cherished the Virgin; loving the child Jesus as your Son, you rescued Him from danger of death. Defend the Church, the household of God, purchased by the blood of Christ.
Guardian of the Holy Family, be with us in our trials. May your prayers obtain for us the strength to flee from error and wrestle with the powers of corruption so that in life we may grow in holiness and in death rejoice in the crown of victory. Amen.
Prayers are those approved from "The Handbook of Indulgences, Norms and Grants." Catholic Book Publishing: New York, 1991.
